Collection: KAPITAL

KAPITAL was founded in 1985 by Toshikiyo Hirata in Kojima, in the Okayama Prefecture of Japan, the district known as the country's denim capital, and is still based there. The brand works on denim and workwear with hand techniques such as sashiko stitching, boro patchwork and quilting, and with graphic motifs that return from one collection to the next; Kiro Hirata, the founder's son and with the brand since 2002, is its creative director.

At VIETTI, a family boutique since 1952 in Arona, on Lake Maggiore, the KAPITAL selection is for men and is built around ready-to-wear and accessories from the current season: crew-neck t-shirts and hooded sweatshirts with the Peckish motifs, casual and western shirts, denim jackets such as the Boro Spring and the Hacksaw, sport trousers and drawstring shorts, bucket hats including The Old Man and the Sea, balaclavas, bandanas, socks from the Kountry line and canvas or denim smartphone holders. The selection is updated with every delivery.

KAPITAL ready-to-wear is listed in Japanese sizes and jeans by waist measurement; the cut is regular, with a share of boxy and relaxed pieces, as stated on each product page together with the composition and the country of manufacture declared by the brand, which is Japan for most of the selection. Hats, socks, bandanas and smartphone holders carry the same details on their product pages.
