On Running was founded in Zurich in 2010 by Olivier Bernhard, a former Swiss Ironman champion, with David Allemann and Caspar Coppetti, and began as a running shoe company. Its shoes are built on the cushioning system the brand calls CloudTec: the clouds under the sole cushion the foot as it lands, then close up to give a firm base for the push-off. The company, On Holding AG, is still based in Zurich and has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange since 2021.
At VIETTI, a family boutique since 1952 in Arona, on Lake Maggiore, the On Running selection is built around low-top sneakers from the current season, for men and women: the Cloudmonster 1 and the Cloudnova 2 for men, the Cloudtilt for women. The uppers are in polyester or mesh, on the CloudTec sole. The selection is small and is updated with every delivery.
